Arthur R. Savage is the third-generation owner and operator of A.R. Savage & Son. His family played a significant role in establishing regular shipping operations in Tampa Bay, and they have been deeply involved in the development of the ports and the community. As a fifth-generation Tampa native, Arthur is proud to continue his family’s legacy.

Arthur is an active member of several local, national, and international maritime organizations, including the Tampa Harbor Safety and Security Committee, Port Tampa Maritime Industry Association, Tampa Maritime Association, Tampa Bay Chapter of the Propeller Club, Association of Ship Brokers and Agents, and the Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents.

He is the Founding Chairman of the Tampa Harbor Safety and Security Committee’s Vessel Movement Committee, and he has served as Director of the Japan America Society and the Scandinavian Trade Association. Arthur is also the Consul of Norway and Denmark for Central Florida, Dean of the Tampa Bay Consular Corps, and has been knighted by Denmark’s Queen for his valuable services as Consul of Denmark.

Arthur’s contribution to the maritime industry has been recognized by the Propeller Club of the United States. He has been named the Southeastern USA and Tampa Bay’s Maritime Person of the Year by the organization’s respective chapters. Arthur holds a master’s license from the United States Coast Guard.
